Cinco meses de trabajo incansable se dedicaron a traducir una memoria viva en esta obra maestra: cada hilo colocado con intención, cada detalle cargando una historia.
En el corazón de la obra, tres figuras se alzan por las escaleras: un niño que aprieta su tirachinas, encarnando la resistencia; un joven con su kufiyah, caminando en busca del conocimiento; y un anciano que asciende con la postura de Handala, en representación de las generaciones que nunca dieron la espalda a su tierra.
La propia calle se llama Calle Al ShawQ: un reflejo del anhelo. A lo largo de sus muros, las palabras «لن نرحل» («No nos iremos»), pronunciadas por primera vez en los hogares de Sheikh Jarrah, permanecen como una promesa que se niega a desvanecerse. A lo lejos, la silueta de la Cúpula de la Roca se yergue como símbolo de identidad y fe.
Repartidos por la obra hay símbolos que cargan la historia de un pueblo: el tirachinas de la resistencia, la llave del retorno de quienes nunca olvidaron, y el olivo, profundamente enraizado como la historia que representa.
Esto no es solo una obra de arte.
Es una calle, una memoria y un legado, bordados para perdurar.
